The Roots Music Association, based in San Marcos, Texas, strives for the advancement of independent artists and encourages radio stations to play music outside of mainstream Top 40 charts.   They maintain their own national charts for Blues, Roots Rock, Bluegrass, Folk, Western, Zydeco and Country.   Delta Moon’s last two CDs have done well on the Blues chart.

Delta Moon is proud to announce we’ve inked a European record deal with Music Boulevard of Belgium, under their Blues Boulevard imprint.  The first release, due out this fall with distribution throughout Europe, will be a compilation of songs drawn from earlier Delta Moon CDs.   That will set up an all new album, which we are working on now, to come out after the first of the year, with a simultaneous release in the United States.  We had a blast in Europe this summer, and hope to spend a lot more time touring there next year.

Bonnie Bramlett has cut "Shake Somethin' Loose," a song Tom co-wrote with Randall Bramblett and Davis Causey, on her new CD, "Beautiful" (Rockin Camel).  Delta Moon recorded the song in 2004 on "Goin' Down South."  Bonnie's version, produced by the legendary Johnny Sandlin, has plenty of slide guitar, too.

MARK:  Yeah, I need to go over there soon and do my job.
TOM:  So what is your job?
MARK:  I sit around and play cool guitars and amps while Dave listens to what they sound like.

There has been a number of press articles on "Clear Blue Flame" and Delta Moon of late.  A page of reviews of the new stuff can be found on this site here.  Including a complimentary one from Germany talking about Tom Gray, "whose voice fits just like a fist in the eye."   We've been told this is a good thing.
