Delta Moon has for a long time consisted of the guitar duo of Tom Gray and Mark Johnson, who set a goal for themselves to follow the Mississippi blues traditions. At first they were typical traveling musicians, mostly playing personal concerts in front of small audiences. The band’s debut album that bears its name appeared in 2002, since then the group has aroused the interest of the general public and has traveled the United States, Canada and Europe. The audiences gratefully received all the band’s concerts, and the press echoed the praise, as has been shown in revealing articles. In 2007 the lineup expanded to include drummer Darren Stanley and bassist Franher Joseph, and the band continued to work as a quartet. The drummer post in the meantime been transformed by the recent far-reaching effects of the anniversary, the tenth album. The repertoire contains twelve compositions: original songs by 2008 Roots Music Association Blues Songwriter Of The Year Tom Gray and co-authors, as well as Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Skip James songs. The album as a whole features honest, bold and exciting productions. The hottest solution, as the slide guitars on every song slip into each other and result in a rolling, flowing, sweeping sound full of passion.
