Delta Moon has been in the studio the last few weeks. We’ve cut six songs, and I honestly believe it’s some of the best work we’ve ever done. We try something here and learn something there, and it’s as if after all these years we’re finally figuring out what we’ve been doing all along. Now we’re preparing more new material for recording a live show March 14 at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, Georgia. With hard work and any luck we’ll have a whole CD in the can before the weather heats up.
We are lucky to work with two terrific drummers: Darren Stanley and Marlon Patton. On occasion we’ve even managed to have both on stage at the same time. On this studio session Marlon joined us. Here he searches for the right metallic plunk, first with a coffee can set on an upside down music stand, then the base of the stand itself.
